Harbin Normal University (HRBNU) was founded in 1951. As a prestigious university, HRBNU has a long history of teacher education. HRBNU proudly serves as a provincial base for teacher training, social sciences, natural sciences, humanities and fine arts in Heilongjiang, China. HRBNU was designated as provincial high-level university for prioritized construction, and it is ranked “Excellent” in the recent national evaluation by the Ministry of Education. HRBNU is one of the universities of National Basic Ability Construction Project of Western and Central China. In the 13th Five Year Plan Period, HRBNU is one of the hundred universities of key construction in western and central China.
More》International College focuses on the education and scientific research of international students, and is the sole teacher training center in Heilongjiang Province, the only registry and testing center for certificate of Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language (TCFL) ability, a training and dispatch base of volunteer Chinese teachers, as well as a testing center of Mandarin Chinese and HSK authorized by national testing center. IC has a teaching and research department of Chinese language and culture, which is in charge of international students' teaching & research, and is in possession of a rich experience and a strong basis of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.
